Downloading vs Subscribing to a Calendar

When you subscribe to the calendar, you will receive ongoing updates from Lifemin to your school/class calendars. If you download the calendar, you won't. That's why it's very important to ensure that you've subscribed the calendar - so you don't miss out on any important dates or changes down the line.

If you are not able to subscribe, follow the instructions for your calendar program to manually subscribe to a calendar (see below).

I Can't See My Lifemin Calendar In My iPhone Calendar

How to find out what calendars are appearing in your iPhone calendar app and how to toggle them on and off.

Click into your iPhone Calendar app.

Click on 'Calendars' at the bottom centre.

This screen lists all the accounts and specific calendars feeding into the Calendar app. Note that each account can have multiple calendars. Your Lifemin account will appear as a separate calendar within the account you enter in the sign up form. If you use a Google account, be sure you've enabled syncing on this page

What Account Am I Using In My iPhone Calendar?

How to find out what account/email address is synced with your iPhone calendar app, if any.

You'll probably know your way around your phone to get to the Settings.

Click into Passwords & Accounts to see what accounts are synced with your phone.

This screen shows all the accounts that are synced with your phone, and in smaller print, which specific apps/programs are synced. Note - iCloud is pre-installed on every iPhone and is the same as the 'Apple ID' associated with the phone.

If you click into an account, you can then select whether to sync it with your phone's pre-installed Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Notes apps.

What Calendar Program Am I Using On My Phone?

iphone calendar app

This is the calendar app that comes pre-installed on iPhones. You can use it on its own, OR you can sync a calendar account you already use, from Google, Hotmail, or another provider. (The same goes for the email app that comes pre-installed.)

google calendar app

This is the Google Calendar app, which does NOT come pre-installed on iPhones. You can have and use a Gmail account for both your email and calendar without having this installed on your phone - for example if it is synced with your phone's default calendar app. You could also have this app AND have your Gmail account synced with your phone's calendar app.

oUTLOOK CALENDAR APP

This is the Outlook app, which does NOT come pre-installed on iPhones. You can have and use an Outlook account for both your email and calendar without having this installed on your phone - for example if it is synced with your phone's default calendar app.

iPhone + Google Calendar App - Troubleshooting

If you have the Google Calendar app installed on your iPhone, there is a known issue with the 'Add your calendar' invitation email.

This is the invitation you will get from Lifemin via Google Calendar.

If you receive the email on an iPhone that has the Google Calendar app installed, it will try to open the calendar in the Google Calendar app and it won't work (a known bug). Instead, press on the 'Add this calendar link,' which will open the link in browser.

You will see a prompt, where you should click 'Add'. Your Lifemin calendar should now be linked to your Google Calendar account.

iPhone Calendar + Google Accounts - Important Step!

Once your Google account/Google Calendar has added your Lifemin calendar, there is one further necessary step. Visit Google Calendar Sync Select and tick your Lifemin calendar. This will enable it to appear in your iPhone (Apple) Calendar app.
